This UST professor's open letter for Duterte will surely touch your heart

Election day is only few steps away and the Philippines is about to change. Or would it not? That is for us to know.

Last Thursday, 21st of April, a netizen is still firm in her conviction that Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte will bring the change the nation needs, asking the competitor and different supporters to stay relentless without being hostile to others.

Andrea Carigma, UST professor posted a letter on her Facebook page in the trusts it would reach Duterte.

In the letter, she advised the leader to not let the feedback online bamboozle him.

Carigma stated, "Amongst everything that I have seen about every candidate, you impressed me - with your true dedication to service and resistance to being corrupted."

On her caption, she discussed about several news targeting Duterte's bad remarks about certain issues. She said, "Just today, I have seen the flood of Duterte criticisms on the news - AND A LOT OF THEM HAVE A COMMON THEME - Mayor Duterte's "foul mouth". And all his detractors are having a field day."

She added, "Honestly, I (and a dear friend) think that he is already having too much of all the crap thrown at him on a daily basis, and all his retorts are getting worse by the day because he is just sotired of getting bashed non-stop. His criticisms won't stop because he is a strong contender."

Carigma also asked Duterte supporters to commit themselves to a 'bashing ban'. This means that there should be no negative comments and bashing over other candidates to instill respect between all of them.

I NEED YOUR HELP. I AM SO TIRED OF SEEING FILIPINOS GETTING LESS OF WHAT WE TRULY DESERVE. THE CHANGE STARTS NOW. WE NEED TO PROVE IT. This is our own revolution.

As you post this photo, you are committing yourself to a BASHING BAN. NO MORE NEGATIVE COMMENTS. NO MORE CANDIDATE BASHING. LET US SHOW THE REST OF THE WORLD THAT WE ARE CAPABLE OF SELF-RESTRAINT. TWO WEEKS NA LANG. BASHING OTHER CANDIDATES WON'T DO US ANY GOOD. Promote your candidate but STOP THE BASHING. TWO WEEKS NA LANG. BASHING WON'T DO US ANY GOOD. Silence can be sharper than a blade that kills.
