Vice Ganda on concert comeback: "Gusto ko yung walanghiyaan, patabilan ng bunganga."

After a year of being absent from the concert scene, Vice Ganda returns onstage this February 14 for his concert titled Pusuan Mo Si Vice Ganda sa Araneta.

The comedian happily announced this during the January 26 grand media launch at ABS-CBN's 9501 Restaurant, which was attended by PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other reporters.
When asked why he decided to hold a Valentine concert this time at the Araneta Coliseum, the 40-year-old TV host explained, "Kasi, last year, hindi ako nagconcert. Noong nilatag yung schedule, natanggal yung concert."
For this reason, Vice's manager, Deo Endrinal, suggested that he should prioritize doing a concert in early 2017.
Vice recalled his manager telling him, "'Dapat may concert kaagad, hindi pwedeng masyadong matagal dahil hindi ka nakapagconcert last year. Dapat first quarter of 2017, dapat may concert ka na.'
"So nakalatag na talaga yung February 14, nakabook na yung Araneta."
As for his guests, child star Awra Briguela is first on the list.
According to Vice, it was Awra who insisted that he should perform in the concert.
Kaya gusto niya, first guest siya."
Daniel Padilla, Maja Salvador, Kris Lawrence, Michael Pangilinan, and Daryl Ong are also expected to perform at Vice Ganda's concert.
The comedian quipped, "Makakatulong sila sa pagbibihis ko! Ang hirap magbihis pag walang guest!"

"I WANT TO GO BACK TO BASICS." In 2014, Vice was put in hot water when he made a "gang rape" joke at the expense of GMA News executive Jessica Soho.

For this reason, Vice reduced his use of comedy bar-style jokes in his 2015 concert.
Instead, he focused on offering performances that channeled concert divas such as Madonna and Katy Perry, among others.
For this 2017 concert, Vice plans go back to his roots when it comes to performing.
He candidly said, "Matabil 'to kasi yung huling concert ko mabait as requested by the management.
"I want to go back to basics, gusto ko yung walanghiyaan, patabilan ng bunganga, barubalan."
The comedian gave a warning to those who will watch his concert: "Kaya nga nireremind ko yung mga manunood, SSSSPG talaga 'to."

SSSSPG is a fictional classification rating that indicates the show will be extremely Strong Parental Guidance.

Vice Ganda admitted that he misses doing stand-up comedies in his concerts.
He pointed out, "Actually, namiss ko nga yun kaya parang gusto ko uling gawin yun.
"Ganun pa rin naman, e, I trust my taste, my judgment.
