Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo on Saturday clarified that her department did not have the intention of leaving Vice President Leni Robredo out of the 65th Miss Universe grand coronation guest list.
According to a GMA News report, Robredo was one of the first people to whom Teo wanted to give a ticket.
However, Teo said that the staff of the Department of Tourism (DOT) had a hard time getting better tickets for the Vice President. Teo said that only lower box tickets were available and they didn't want to give the Vice President a lower box seat. She said that she wanted Robredo to be seated in VIP section, just like President Rodrigo Duterte.
She further explained that some cabinet secretaries and ambassadors only got lower box tickets due to the high demand of tickets.
Teo also appealed to the VIPs who are attending to arrive early as the security is tight at the venue.
On Friday, members of the press asked Robredo if she will be attending the 65th Miss Universe grand coronation.
"Hindi e. Hindi ako imbitado," she told reporters.
