Ronnie Dayan, the former driver-bodyguard and lover of Sen. Leila De Lima, said she advised him against attending the House inquiry on the proliferation of drugs inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
In his signed affidavit, Dayan said he sought De Lima's advice after receiving the subpoena, and contacted the senator through his daughter, Hannah.
The revelation prompted lawmakers to ask that his daughter testify on the matter before the hearing.
Hannah's phone was shown for the media to capture their exchange of messages.
