WATCH: Bongbong Marcos Speaks About The Late Senator Miriam Santiago: 'We Learned a Lot From Her and Our Discussions in The Senate Were Very Fruitful'

Former Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. speaks about the late self-empowered Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago and recalls her last advice for him.



Marcos pertained to the electoral protest he filed in the Electoral Tribunal against contender Vice President Leni Robredo. Senator Santiago have also done the same during her first Presidential Election in 1992 after she loss to former President Fidel Ramos saying he cheated her although was later declared moot after her win in the Senatorial Election in 1995.

Sen. Santiago fought a long battle against lung cancer before she died in her sleep on Thursday morning.

Marcos along with a few other politicians came to the wake of the late senator on the first day. Marcos recalled his relationship with the former senator and how he always came to her for advice as she incessantly shares her words of unending wisdom.

"We learned a lot from her and our discussions in thr Senate were very fruitful, "Marcos said.

"It was an honor for me to be chosen as her vice presidential candidate in the last elections."


Santiago is set to be burieed at the Loyola Memorial Chapel and Crematorium in Marikina this coming Sunday.
