Majority of this generation's youth are born above the marginalized sector, or atleast as far as we know. Badjao girl Rita Gaviola was living significance of the reality and struggles of those from the said sector of the society.
"Kasi sa amin hindi namin hinahanda, parang wala kaming panghanda," she mentioned when the topic on family member's birthday have been raised.
She expressed to Big Brother her sentiments.
"Kuya yung bunso ko pong kapatid, dalawang taon na po sya ngayong August 22 po, kaso lang po wala po kaming panghanda pag ganong ano po -- kahit sino po sa amin kuya gusto ko po talagang ipagdiwang yung pamilya ko kapag malapit na yung mga birthday nila, kahit mga hotdog lang po kuya tapos mga spaghetti, sopas kahit ano, yun lang po pangarap ko po," she admitted teary-eyed.
"Kasi kuya gusto ko po iramdam sa kanila kahit sobrang hirap po, kahit kaunti gusto ko lang sila bigyan ng ganitong bagay."
Fortunately for the 13 year old beauty, Big Brother heard her sentiments and was given a task to fulfill for her request to be granted.
"Gagawin ko po lahat para sa kapatid ko po."
Many netizens were moved by the young girl's dream, Netizen Lee Muelle comment about her earned more than a thousand likes saying she signifies the reality the nation's faces.
