Image of Jesus Christ Appears on the Philippine Flag Throughout Duterte Inauguration

June 30, 2016 was a significant day in Philippines history because at noon, President Benigno "PNoy" Aquino III turns over all his duties and responsibilities to his successor, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

While there were a lot of things that were taken up on social media and in news sites that day regarding Duterte's apperance, speech, platform of government, deeds, etc., much has also been discussed about the Philippine Flag on the stage - for throughout inauguration, the blue portion of the flag appears to show the likeness of Jesus Christ!

Of course, this could only be another serious case of pareidolia, defined as "a psychological phenomenon involving a stimulus wherein the mind perceives a familiar pattern of something (often a human face) where none actually exists."

But netizens could not help but comment on this, anyway; believing that this could be a sign of something quite possibly that the heaven are also giving their blessing to Duterte. Indeed, the image was strong and remained so throughout the duration of the inauguration, no matter from which angle you look at it!

While a number of netizens first believed that such was photoshopped into the earlier images posted the inauguration, the same image appears clearly in the videos.

Do you think that really was the image of Jesus Christ? If so, what could have been the meaning of its appearance in the Philippine flag during Duterte's inauguration?
