P5M worth of shabu seized in a buybust in Palo Leyte
623 grams of alleged shabu with an estimated value of 5 million pesos was seized following
a buy bust operation conducted by PDEA-8 operatives in a hotel in Palo Leyte at around
a 6:30 earlier this morning.
Suspects were nabbed including a government employee identified as Renato Saratan, 44 years old, a resident of Poblacion Hilongos Leyte,a provincial guard at Leyte Sub Provincial Jail in Baybay City with cohorts; Cesar Quijano, 54 years old, a resident of Brgy. Cahagnaan Matalom Leyte, Evelyn Suarez, 35 years old, caregiver, a resident of Brgy. SanRoque Sogod Southern Leyte, Ronilo Ruiz, 32 years old, a resident of Hilongos Leyte and Kevin Mark Rapas, 20 years old, a resident of Brgy. Bitanhuan Baybay City.
The suspects were arrested at room 11 in Borderline Hotel after being caught in the act selling alleged shabu to a PDEA asset.
Seized from them were 2 plastic sachets containing alleged shabu with a market value of 4,984,000 pesos.
Suspects are now booked in PDEA detention cell for violation of Dangerous Drugs Act.
