Blatche in fighting form for FIBA tilt, says trainer.

Naturalized player Andray Blatche had 20 points and 11 rebounds against Iran during Gilas Pilipinas tune-up with the visiting team last week.
And his trainer believes his ward can do more come July when the national team starts its campaign for an Olympic slot against France.
“We’re going to Greece, Turkey, and Italy, and he’s gonna get a chance to get his body in total tip-top shape,” trainer Rory Jones told Spin’s Gerry Ramos before leaving with Gilas Pilipinas for Europe Friday night.
Unlike last August when Blatche came over out of shape for the 2015 FIBA Asia Men’s Championship, the former Brooklyn Net was in decent shape for the Iran match.
Jones said Blatche took only a month’s rest before plunging back into training and rejoining Gilas.
“The last time he was dealing with issues with his mother and he didn’t pick up a basketball for months,” said Jones, referring to the player’s weight issue last year.
“This time, he only took a month off and then we got to the gym for four weeks and then we’ve been doing mountain climbing and working out individual skills work. He was all fine with his body.”
“Come July, he’s gonna be in excellent shape and ready to get this go.”
