Watch: 11 Suspects Drug Pusher's Take a Walk of Shame in Tanauan Batangas!

The mayor calls it "Flores de Pusher", a play on the annual Flores de Mayo celebration.
Eleven drug suspects took the "walk of shame" in Tanauan, Batangas Monday, despite protests from the Commission on Human Rights and other rights advocates.
The suspects were paraded in town while wearing signs that read: "Ako'y Pusher, Wag Tularan." A makeshift arch that had the words "Flores de Pusher" was also raised in front of the suspects during the walk.
Some of the suspects were arrested during a drug buy-bust operation of the city's civil security unit in barangays III and IV today.

Police said Tanauan Mayor Antonio Halili had urged the suspects to stop their illegal activities, but to no avail.
The mayor earlier defended the public shaming, saying the practice deters crime.
A CHR official, however, described the walk of shame as a form of mental torture. She added that three of the suspects that took the walk of shame are minors.
