Marcos leads Robredo in unofficial overseas vote count

Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. led Congresswoman Leni Robredo in the unofficial tally of overseas votes, Commission on Elections Commissioner Rowena Guanzon said Saturday.

Guanzon tweeted an "unaudited" tally, which showed Marcos with 176,669 votes, nearly double Robredo's 89,935.
The votes, once added to the official tally, could prove crucial to the cliffhanger race to be the spare tire to Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, the presumptive winner of the presidential vote.

Robredo leads Marcos by 218,012 votes based on 96.09 percent of votes that were transmitted to the poll body's transparency server.
The only son and namesake of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos has refused to concede to Robredo and raised the possibility of cheating to favor the administration candidate.
Their other rivals, Senators Alan Peter Cayetano, Francis Escudero, Antonio Trillanes IV and Gregorio Honasan have accepted defeat.
