JUST IN: Grace Poe Accepted Defeat on Presidential Race!

After a very controversial and stressful campaign and election period, Senator Grace Poe is currently in third place based on partial and unofficial vote count. Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is now leading the race with over 5 million votes ahead against Mar Roxas who is now placing second. Poe called for a press briefing in her media center and issued a statement of concession.

Here is an excerpt of Poe's statement she said with teary eyes:
"...Ako ay nagbibigay daan kay Rodrigo Duterte na siyang maliwanag na nangunguna sa kasalukuyang bilangan at siyang napili ng nakakararami sa ating mga kababayan. Bilang isang masidhing tagapagtaguyod ng repormang pang-eleksyon matatag ang paniniwala ko sa boses at kalooban ng ating taong bayan. Iginagalang ko ang resulta ng ating halalan. Binabati ko si Mayor Rodrigo Duterte at ipinapangako ko ang aking pakiki-isa sa paghilom ng ating bayan at pakiki-isa ng ating mga kababayan tungo sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng ating bansa. Maraming salamat."

Grace Poe showed a very decent and professional behavior. She is truly a great leader because she wholeheartedly accepted the decision of the Filipino people. It's not just about winning, but fighting with a clear conscience is also very important. KUDOS to Senator Poe! :)
